Our Story

  Meet the MCC family. We are Spencer and Alison. As children our Mom always promised us that someday we would be best friends. It turns out she was right! Now we are launching the Maine Casket Company, an initiative to bring affordable and environmentally sustainable burial solutions to you.  

Children of a carpenter, we have been in and out of the woodshop most of our lives. Handmade solutions to everyday items was part of our upbringing and Spencer proved to be especially creative and capable in the woodshop. After spending several years apart to complete schooling and start families, we are returning to our roots and honored to give back to the community that built us. 

Dignity knows no size, shape, or price. Our mission is to provide simple, natural burial options made from natural resources at an affordable price. That's it. 

 We feel gratitude for those who came before us and want to honor them.  

 We are committed to sustainability, craftsmanship, and integrity. 

 We always prefer to use local resources from local neighbors.
